“Screams cut the clear air.” The Diamond Superstar, Michael Marsh, turns from signing autographs to see his beloved wife, Lizzie, lying dead on the snow: a skier in black is spotted speeding away towards the Matterhorn. Lisette leaves her husband, Brian, and rushes to her grieving father’s side, rekindling media suspicions of an incestuous relationship.

Jealous, and driven by guilty secrets of his own, Brian abandons Lisette, who is pregnant with his son. For the sake of Lizzie’s youngest daughter, Greta, he is determined to find the killer and mete out justice. The Swiss police ask the London force for help and the detective chief inspector assigned to the case is hostile, influenced by paparazzi stories that Lisette, Michael, or both, wanted Lizzie dead.

Who stabbed the woman everybody loved, and why? How can twins, secret lovers Harriet and Kit, help Greta, and will the way they choose bring the showbiz family empire crashing to the ground? Can rejected, deserted, Lisette keep her solemn promise to Lizzie to pass on Margaret Tudor’s Book of Hours with its Royal Command, “find love where ye may” to a daughter conceived in love?

Dynasty of Deceit by Sarah Stuart is a sizzling romance with well-sculpted characters, intense passion, and fast-paced action. It's the last book in the Royal Command trilogy, a story that will appeal to readers who want their romance punctuated with sex, incest and intrigue, but most importantly, a probe into a family's dirty linen. Michael Marsh is a showbiz hotshot who loses his wife in very unusual circumstances. While signing autographs, his wife, Lizzie, is stabbed to death and the killer mysteriously disappears, leaving the media and the police with improbable speculations. No one understands how a murder could occur in such circumstances, but as the investigation sets off, it becomes increasingly certain that someone must have witnessed the murder, perhaps the very person who is the victim. How much does Michael Marsh know? Apart from his shady relationship with eldest daughter Lisette, what else can the media star be hiding? Sarah Stuart carefully crafts a romance steeped in mystery and a murder investigation, and a family saga, a story that will have readers turning the pages, wondering what surprises this seemingly successful and beautiful family may be keeping in store for them. But what do the secret lovers, "twins" Harriet and Kit, have to do with the investigation, and what could be the key to solving a murder case that has baffled everyone? Dynasty of Deceit has everything readers would look for in a romance and murder novel -- passionate sex, intrigue, dirty secrets, stabbings-in-the-back, and lies. Sarah Stuart's writing is as sensual and tantalizing as the love scenes she describes, punctuated with beautiful and plot-driven dialogues. But the characters are what will keep readers captivated, and the duplicity and cunning of some of them will make readers think that nothing is ever as it seems.

5 star Amazon review by Tom Benson

In this third tale in the impressive Royal Command series the reader is taken ever deeper into the trials and tribulations of the Marsh family. As before we see how wealth and the power it generates could affect a person’s grip on reality. Love, murder, incest, evil, sex, loyalty and many more ingredients make this a tremendous story. A myriad of characters inhabit this world within showbiz created by Sarah Stuart. As the names appear in the story the people and their pasts are introduced through a skilful mix of dialogue, flashback and use of the media. Once again, we see tantalising glimpses of a bygone Royal era with quotes from the Book of Hours, which has been passed down generations. We also have a musical in production within the tale, and thus we are treated to three stories in one. Good dialogue, great imagery and an occasional glimpse into the past keep the plot moving along at a brisk pace. All of the characters are well-rounded and for me, Brian was a star. If you’ve read the first two books you will enjoy this one. I recommend the set.
