His first novel, Gulls!, tells of a colony of gulls that go beserk and terrorise a coastal holiday town while his second novel, Better To Have Loved and Lost, is a tale of second-chance love.

Phil has also self-published a book of short stories, Buddha’s Big Book of Short Stories, of various genres and co-written a young adult adventure book with Red Mackenzie entitled Through The Eyes Of The Skull

Jenny and Alan are both in loveless marriages; she's married to a controlling, abusive husband; he to a power-hungry, wealthy wife who,though she has no feelings for him, will fight tooth and nail to make sure no-one else gets him. 

When Jenny is forced to take on a barmaid job in the local pub fate throws the two together and brings with it the promise of a better life for both of them.
