Being a pet parent isn’t easy. There are so many things we take for granted. Their constant presence and the joy they bring into our lives, but sometimes events conspire against us and the sad reality is that dogs do get lost. Taken in this context, FindBella by author Parisa Jenkins is a story about life, the modern world, and its imperfections. It’s part revelation and part mystery, but it’s also a social commentary on how we connect with those around us and how social media brings people together in extraordinary circumstances. Undeniably, the search for Parisa’s beloved Bella is the overriding theme, but past events, family and unexpected introductions are all woven together to provide the framework of Jenkins story. Her writing is clear and interesting and weaves a heartfelt and warm tale where readers can’t help but care what is going to happen, whilst the familiarity of locales and characters will surely prompt some knowing nods. Although a relatively short read, the message and hope FindBella brings to others in similar circumstances outweighs page count. Sure to be well received by ‘pet parents’ everywhere, it's a book that certainly deserves your attention
