Hello, I’m C. M. Mitchell, am a writer and a nerd to the umpteenth degree, and I hope you enjoy my recently published work!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I usually live by a saying, ‘To write or not to write, that is the question’. Actually that is not the case, it usually is ‘To eat, or not to eat’.
I am a writer, storyteller, a fiction writer and Jane Austen Enthusiast. The reason that I began writing is because I wanted to help Young Adult females/adult women have a character that they could always identify with, no matter what they were like. Therefore, stop, take a look and I hope you find something that you can enjoy.
'Why is it possible that we can easily fall down?' 'Because it helps us to appreciate the moments when we can find our balance, and stand up again.'
June grows up in Washington DC, raised by her father who has cerebral palsy. Since she was a child, he has been looked after by nurses, as well as the next door neighbors, and she has been raised by them as well, being home schooled and learning how to be self sufficient. All her life, her father told her that her mother died when she was younger, and feels pain when she brings up the subject. On the brink of her 13th birthday, June becomes filled with a burst of life, a spurt of angst, and wants things to change. She wants to know what school is like, what normalcy is, to hang out with friends, and what it's like to have a mother. However, all around her she sees people who are stunted in some form or another as well by either half lived lives, disappointed hopes, and unfulfilled dreams. June, observing all these lives, gets up and decides that she doesn't want to be one of them. She discovers a secret to her life, all is changed, and she goes on a journey to find answers. Her determination at so young an age, inspires all the kids and adults around her to snap out of their complacency, change their lives, and jump the curve that they are forever revolving around. Follow the uplifting and original story of June, the spunky and precocious girl of her neighborhood.
