ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bob Looker has written The Pheasant based on both his army experience and very much used the area he grew up in. The house he describes is his home before he left to join the Army. Having carried out research for his book ‘Three Days’ he was able to use this in this book. Bob’s stories, although based on historical facts are not bound by them, using them as a backdrop rather then a straight-jacket. I am lucky in that my local newspaper and the group it is in, have helped to spread the word, not only where I live but in the areas of the story and where I grew up.
